Bram began his career as an electrical and software engineer. Bram’s experience with licensing software allowed him to appreciate the value of IP, inspiring him to pursue a career in law. Bram’s background allows him to appreciate the importance and value of IP to a business both in generating revenue and in protecting a business’s reputation. Bram’s knowledge of patents, trademarks, industrial design, and copyright allows him to connect clients with the best solution to their intellectual property needs.
Past Legal Employment
Bram articled at the Ottawa office of a top national boutique IP law firm. During law school Bram volunteered at Community Legal Services where he helped low income and socially disadvantaged individuals with legal issues.
Bram graduated from Western Law school. Bram participated in litigation competitions through law school for which he was a finalist in appellate and negotiation competitions. Bram took part in a project between Western Law school and Ivey Business school to help students at Ivey Business School with IP needs on new ventures.
Prior to law school Bram completed his bachelor’s in electrical engineering at Carleton University where he graduated with distinction. After graduation, Bram worked as a software engineer for a multinational defense company on data management systems for aircrafts.
