Client Intake Coordinator
Jimmy is the Client Intake Coordinator at Heer Law and is a licensed paralegal in the province of Ontario. He strives to deliver high-quality services and build strong relationships with clients and the team.
His diverse range of experiences in both the federal public service of Canada and the legal sector brings a unique perspective at Heer Law. Jimmy has had the privilege of working with small and large businesses, federal departments, the Senate of Canada, law professionals, and other stakeholders. He is passionate about finding new ways to contribute to the client’s and the team’s success.
Prior to joining Heer Law, Jimmy worked with the Government of Canada at the Canada Border Services Agency and the Senate of Canada. He has facilitated several stakeholder engagement initiatives with government departments and agencies, as well as conducted threat and risk assessments to ensure the security of Parliament.
He previously worked at a tax litigation firm as a paralegal where he supported the legal team in tax dispute matters. He also assisted clients and the team at an employment law firm related to wrongful dismissals and human rights claims. In these roles, he navigated client relationships and created solutions and processes that put the team and clients in a better position.
Jimmy is a graduate of Centennial College’s Paralegal Graduate Certificate Program.
Further, Jimmy holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences, specializing in Political Science at the University of Ottawa. He also holds a Master of Infrastructure Protection & International Security at Carleton University where he learned and analyzed the different mitigation strategies regarding threats to Canada (i.e., terrorism, cyber security, and natural disasters).
