Overview

Rareș is an intellectual property lawyer at Heer Law, having previously articled and summered at the firm. He maintains a broad intellectual property law and intellectual property litigation practice.

Education

Rareș graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. Prior to that, Rareș graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Environmental Engineering.

Qualifications

Rareș was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2025.

Experience

Rareș practices in all areas of intellectual property law and intellectual property litigation, with emphasis on patent drafting and prosecution, intellectual property dispute matters, and matters related to intellectual property strategy.

He has assisted clients in a variety of industries, including education, software and computer programs, food and beverages, renewable technologies, medical devices, mechanical devices, chemical compositions, and in particular, clients in a wide variety of creative industries.

Outside of work, Rareș enjoys playing soccer, tennis, board games, and maintaining his aquarium and growing collection of plants.
