Sarah left a career in software engineering to pursue intellectual property law to help innovators protect their creations.
Sarah studies law at the University of Calgary. She is a member of the International Law Society and the Association of Women Lawyers.
Prior to law, Sarah worked in telecommunications at the Saskatchewan Crown corporation, SaskTel. During her time there, she worked on the Order Service Management team and consulted with programming, marketing, and finance teams to ensure the ongoing functionality of SaskTel’s system.
Before entering law, Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Systems Engineering from the University of Regina. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she participated in a Co-Operative Education program where she did technical work for private and public sector companies. During her final year of studies, she created a Capstone project for an Information Technology Service Management program focused on aiding company onboarding.
